Why InnoGrémium
University gives you frameworks and theory. What it does not give you – the people doing the work, experience from a live project, and a portfolio that speaks for you – you have to find elsewhere. We try to be that elsewhere.
A network you keep
At our events you meet people from agencies, companies and the faculty, not through a form, but over coffee after the panel. Most of our collaborations started with a single conversation.
Skills, not slides
Campaigns, research, event production, video, data. On a live assignment, with responsibility and a deadline. And with someone who reviews your work.
A project for your portfolio
Every collaboration leaves you with something you can show at an interview. Nobody else hands you that in a single semester.
How to get involved
Three ways in. None of them asks you to commit to anything up front.
How far you can go with us
Nobody starts with paid client work. The path usually runs through competitions and event production. And the further you go, the more you decide what gets done.
- Competitions
Takes part in competitions, solo or in a team.
Help with the entry, a team to compete with, feedback on the result.
- Event production
Owns a part of an event: production, programme, communication, photo/video.
Real responsibility at the event and direct contact with guests and partners.
- Partnerships
Talks to student organisations and clubs, arranges collaborations.
Representing InnoGrémium externally and your own project across the club network.
- Client work
Works on paid assignments for companies: real work, real responsibility.
A share of the fee, references for your portfolio, leading juniors.
It is not a ladder you must climb rung by rung, more a map of what you can do here. If you arrive with your own project, you can start at partnerships. And no stage requires you to be from our faculty.
Supported courses
In selected courses, attending our events counts as graded activity: you go to a panel you care about, and it is not time away from your studies.
We are still agreeing the specific courses with their guarantors. The list will appear here once it is confirmed. In the meantime, get in touch and we will tell you where yours stands.
Bachelor thesis supervision
The classic assignment reads “Marketing strategy for company XY”: the company does not know about the thesis, the data is estimated, and nobody reads the result after the defence. It satisfies the form and leaves nothing behind.
With us you get an assignment someone is actually working on: our event, a campaign, the community, registration data. You get access to real numbers and to the people it concerns, and the output gets used after the defence. For you that means easier data collection and a defence where you talk about something you really did.
We will not take more. Supervising a thesis properly means regular consultations and reading drafts. Beyond that number it would be a rubber stamp, not supervision. First to ask, first served.
If you already have a job or a specific project at a company you could work on, do that one instead. A thesis built on your own work assignment solves a real problem you have to solve anyway, and the company gets something out of it. Take our topic as the good option when you do not have such an assignment, or it does not appeal to you.
Interested? Write to Ing. Michala Vránová at Michala.Vranova@vut.cz – your year, field of study and a sentence about what you enjoy is enough. We shape the topic together; you will not be handed a finished assignment.
And yes, there are credits too
Work in a student team can earn you 3 credits (course 0SP at our faculty). Treat it as a pleasant side effect: you need to collect credits every year anyway (40 per year at BUT, 17 in the first semester), and this is one of the few ways to get them for something you would do regardless.
Do not fit any box: different faculty, different university, fresh graduate? Get in touch. Being a student is mostly an attitude, not a stamp.
